I already detailed the trip to Houston for the HIM concert back in october on my previous journal. Just a little information to keep some of you losers up to par...
The White Rabbit HIM concert sold out before we could spot some tickets, which completely sucked ass. In utter desperation we rushed to ticketmaster just a day prior to the Houston show at Verizon Wireless Theatre, oh the joy! Words cannot express the absolutely spectacular show they put on the night... I nearly fainted when Ville Valo walked on stage in all of his beauty. Either way, not only was the concert an absolutely delight... the drive home from Houston was quite a treat as well. Mainly running over the deer carcass and ripping a metal support bar off the bottom of scott's car, teehehe.
Anyway, that was about a month ago and we figured another trip to Houston was far off and my how mistaken we were.
This past weekend we ventured towards Houston once again to experience the Texas Renissance (SP) festival. Ended up driving out at 2am saturday morning, which meant we arrived in Brenham around 5:30am. Sleeping in the car was nearly impossible considering the back seat was too damned small, last time I attempt a full nights sleep in a car before a long day of 15th century goodness. The festival itself was quite exciting. Jousting (SP) matches, wooden swords, sphereplay, mud wrestling, food, and wine... you name it! Definitely looking forward to going back next year and possibly checking out the Scarborough Fair next time around in Waco. Leaving the Fair was a completely different story, due to dumbasses in the parking lot... we sat gridlocked for about 2.5 hours until traffic began moving once again. Finally we were headed home and I walked into my house around 1am sunday morning. Yuck!
I mentioned SpherePlay above, otherwise known as Contact Juggling. We bought a couple acrylic balls and definitely having our fun with them at the moment. Gave us the chance to bring home a little bit of the fair with us, something we surely will not be forgetting anytime soon, I can guarentee you that!
